Hey friends! In this post I will be talking about how to start a Moments of Joy journal--the basic gist of it is to record things that make you happy, the simple pleasures of life and to count your blessings:) I hope this post inspires you!!
There are so many difficult things in life, and we face them every day-- Friction with friends, family, parents; personal doubts, sin struggles, sadness, depression, fear, failure, our own ever-changing feelings, not to mention everything that's going on in our families and our world.
But there is also so much good happening and so many blessings in our life that we often overlook and take for-granted. While there is a time and place for sadness, we love to wallow in it and feel sorry for ourselves.
Could it be that we're actually missing out on life when we do that? We may get sympathy, but are we truly happier?
It's so SO easy to ignore the good in our lives, while magnifying all the bad. I pray that you will begin this project of journaling moments of joy and begin to look up instead of down, and that you will start to become a person who sees the good. Because God has given us so many blessings. It's about time we started actually being grateful and thanking Him for them.

How do I start one?
All you need is a journal and a pen!
What do I write in it?
Example #1: Today I had a really good time in prayer! I am so thankful God actually wants us to come and talk directly to Him as His children.
Example #2: Today I got to make cookies! It was so fun and relaxing and now I have cookies as a school snackie for the week:)
Example #3: Today I went to Youth Group and we played a super fun game! I also got to hang out with my friends and hear an amazing message.
Example #4: Today I got... (drumroll please).... STARBUCKS!!!!
They don't have to be big things:)
