Last but not least, I want to share with you the legit BEST sugar cookie recipe ever!!
SUGAR COOKIE RECIPE:
Ingredients:
Cookie Dough:
- 3 and 1/2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup softened butter
- 1 and 1/2 cups sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
Icing:
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 2 to 4 tablespoons milk
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- food coloring (optional)
Directions:
1. Preheat 400 degrees. In a stand mixer, cream together butter and sugar. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Gradually combine dry ingredients. Chill for at least one hour.
2. Remove dough from fridge and let soften for about 15 minutes. Lightly dust countertop with flour. Roll out dough to about 1/4 inch thickness. Cut with cookie cutters and place on baking sheets lined with parchment paper. Bake until edges are lightly browned, about 8-10 minutes. Cool on a wire rack
3. Mix icing ingredients and decorate cookies. Enjoy!! (Yields approx. 3 dozen cookies)
